Why can maths be so challenging?
The human brain naturally resists understanding maths. It’s as if there’s a barrier preventing maths from entering our brains! My students and I refer to it as The Great Maths Barrier.

Science has unveiled that this barrier consists of a large number of what my students and I call maths brain-twisters. These are the culprits behind kids’ struggles in understanding maths, hindering proper comprehension.

The science behind how humans learn maths is very recent, so very few (if any) authors of maths textbooks or teachers know how to explain maths to kids in a way that is easily graspable.
