Maths sessions with Dr. M’

The following applies to all sessions run by “At Home with Maths Ltd.” This comprises lessons online or face to face, 1-2-1 or small groups, taster sessions and any other sessions with Dr. M or by participating in a forum.

  • “At Home with Maths Ltd.” sessions with Dr. M are no substitute for maths study at school and do not normally attempt to cover the full maths school exam syllabus. (I am able to cover the entire maths school exam syllabus if the request to do so has been specifically made and agreed upon by me).
  • “At Home with Maths Ltd.” sessions are primarily designed to fill the “gaps” in a student’s knowledge, to develop the correct maths thinking, to boost a student’s confidence and to encourage their further study at school.
  • I, at certain times, may advise you to vary the agreed schedule, and increase or decrease the frequency of lessons where this action may be of direct benefit to a student. Failure to follow this advice may have an adverse effect on the student’s progress.
  • If you believe that more support would be helpful to complement a student’s mainstream school maths study, please contact me to discuss the various options that are available from my “At Home with Maths Ltd.” tuition centre and the relevant associated cost.

Dr. M’s teaching resources
Morrish Maths for Moreish Minds

These comprise activity packs for younger students purchased from Dr. M’s shop and interactive activities for older students accessible via the “PILOT” subscription.

Over the years, I have been collecting, inventing and creating puzzles and games and collating information and other material that not only:

  • Children find interesting and enjoyable to use when learning maths and
  • Help children develop cognitive thinking, and boost their confidence

But that are also

  • Specifically designed to help children understand maths correctly – what it really is and how they can apply it in their own everyday life (now and in their future).

Morrish Maths for Moreish Minds teaching resources are helpful to all students without neurodiversity and to most students with neurodiversity and whether they struggle with maths learning or not, Morrish Maths for Moreish Minds helps overcome maths brain-twisters that stand in the way of their efficient maths learning hence increasing the efficiency of their maths learning and developing their maths potential to the full.

Morrish Maths for Moreish Minds has been created and based on both sound knowledge of pure maths and on up-to-date science of how the human brain learns and is verified in practice.

However, it is essential that Morrish Maths for Moreish Minds is used correctly and in a way that is appropriate to the student’s age and maths learning abilities.

I provide training for everyone interested, but if you choose to use Morrish Maths for Moreish Minds activities without my training you do so at your own risk and I cannot be held responsible if you or your child experience any problems and/or you notice no improvements in your or your child’s maths learning.

Last but not least:

  • I use reasonable care to make sure that the information appearing on my websites is accurate and up to date. However, errors and omissions do occur and you should not take the accuracy of the information for granted.
